A muscle that often gets overlooked in preparation for competition is the one between your ears.  YOUR BRAIN!  I have had the pleasure of listening to Olympic coaches and swimmers talk about the preparation needed in order to achieve at a high level.  All agreed that at a high level, the best swimmers are always the ones who are mentally tough.  Take the quiz below to see how tough you are and what you may need to work on.

Thanks for taking the quiz.  I hope it got that muscle between your ears to work!  Some things to remember:
1.  Let go of your past performances good or bad.  It is over, you have to move onto the next thing.
2.  Focus on the only thing you can control, YOURSELF.  If you worry about what lane your are in, who you are swimming against, the water is cold, etc., you are only setting yourself up for disappointment.  Stay focused on yourself and block out things you can't control.
3.  Stay positive.  Surround yourself with those who are positive and upbeat.
